As a publicly held utility, Black Hills Energy is regulated by state commissions in each territory we serve. Here you'll find downloadable PDFs of Black Hills Energy's rates, operating rules and regulations (tariffs). Rates, rules and regulations vary by state and service.

Also here are our electric extension standards; consult these standards if you are planning and/or constructing electric service and/or meter installations.

These documents also are available at local Black Hills Energy offices and local or national commission offices. Although materially the same, the official tariffs on file with the governing commission will hold precedence over these documents in the event of a discrepancy.
