Residential: High Efficiency Lighting
Which lights in your house do you find yourself using the most? Are they in the kitchen, living room, bathroom or outdoor on your porch? If you answered yes to any of those, you could qualify for Black Hills Energy's High Efficiency Lighting Program
By changing the bulbs you use the most and replacing them with ENERGY STAR® qualified compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) you can use up to 75% less energy than typical incandescent light bulbs. Plus, CFLs also offer superior performance by lasting up to 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs, reducing the need to change hard-to-reach light bulbs.
This program offers Black Hills Energy's residential customers the ability to purchase up to 10 CFLs from a local participating retailer at a reduced cost.
Instant rebates are available at participating stores at the time of purchase for different wattage sizes, different configurations (standard and recessed), different styles (3-way), etc. Instant rebate levels may vary depending upon the type of CFL and its associated retail cost.
