Take Advantage of 2011 Energy Efficiency Tax Credits
On December 17, 2010, President Obama signed the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010. This law extends the tax credits for some energy efficiency into 2016. To see what measures qualify please visit the ENERGY STAR website.

The Federal Trade Commission has reported several types of scams related to the stimulus bill. To prevent scams, choose your contractor (roofing, insulation, or installer) carefully. Beware of new or out of state companies who work from their trucks. In addition, be sure to research any company proposing to do work on your home or business with the Better Business Bureau.
