The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2010 (ARRA)

Sometimes known as an economic stimulus bill, the ARRA makes tax incentives available to both residential and commercial customers. Homeowners can claim a maximum of $1,500 in tax credits on eligible energy-efficient purchases installed throughout the home. Scam Warning

The Federal Trade Commission is warning people about several types of scams related to the stimulus bill. They suggest you choose your contractor (roofing, insulation, or installer) carefully. Beware of new or out of state companies who work from their trucks. In addition, you are advised to check out any company proposing to do work on your home with the Better Business Bureau.
