Black Hills Energy can level out your monthly energy payments. We'll consider your previous usage and energy costs to arrive at your initial budget amount. After that, your monthly balances will be calculated based on the average of your previous 12 months' actual bills. However, the monthly amount due only is adjusted if the monthly calculation is at least 10 percent greater than or less than your current budget amount.

	This is billing for an average customer who is not on any budget bill program.
	With the Budget Bill Plan, your payments remain relatively stable over a 12 month period.

With the Budget Billing Plan, you will be protected from significant swings in your bill, while the 10 percent threshold ensures that you maintain relative stability in your monthly payment.

Once you're enrolled in Budget Billing, you can remove yourself at any time by contacting Black Hills Energy. If you are removed from the Budget Billing Plan any carryover credit or balance due is applied to the next month's bill and becomes due in full at that time.
