Black Hills Energy has a wide variety of industrial end-users. Industrial customers are characterized by complex operations, specialized processes and equipment, and very diverse end-uses. Black Hills Energy wants to reach out to our industrial customers in the following ways:
An industrial assessment center is located at Colorado State University in Fort Collins that provides free site assessments for small to medium-sized manufacturing facilities (with sales less than $100 million and energy costs from $100,000 to $2.5 million).
Specifically for Black Hills Energy customers, options include process heating and steam systems assessments at larger facilities. Black Hills Energy Account Reps work with facility managers before and after this assessment.
This program offers Best Practices training sessions on Steam Systems and Process Heating. The DOE-ITP offers instructors and material support for either an End User Training 1-day workshop or a more advanced Specialist Qualification 2 and half day workshop.
For more information on any of these programs please call Gene Mantei at 719-546-6478.
