Serving up a new kitchen for Cheyenne, Wyoming’s Meals On Wheels
Every Friday, Black Hills Energy Key Account Representative, Tyler and his wife Lauren enjoy “take out” during their lunch-hour. But they don’t actually eat the food they pick up. They transport dozens of trays and frozen meals to some very special people in need.
During the past 12 months, the driven duo has delivered more than 1,031 meals.
“My favorite Meals On Wheels client is Maria,” says Tyler. “She’s 97 years old, completely deaf and beyond thankful every time we deliver her meal, not only for the food but also for the social interaction.”
The need for Meals On Wheels has become so great in the Cheyenne, Wyoming, community, that the business has outgrown their current kitchen facility. So we joined forces with the Black Hills Corporation Foundation and worked together to provide a much needed donation.
“This gift from Black Hills Energy is wonderful and helps allow us to continue to serve the homebound."
