Natural gas pipeline upgrade coming to Midland Avenue in Glenwood Springs, Colorado
In coordination with the City of Glenwood Springs and the “Keep South Midland Moving” project, we’re currently working to replace our natural gas pipeline that runs along Midland Avenue. Construction is underway and is anticipated to continue through mid-February. The new pipeline will also be upsized for greater capacity in order to meet the needs of our growing community for years to come.
Project updates
Work will begin on Midland Avenue at Old Cardiff Bridge Road and continue south to Cardiff Road/County Road 160. During work hours between 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., the narrow road will require a single lane of traffic to alternate through the work zone. There will be no full closures of the road, and alternating traffic plans will be limited to avoid impacting morning and evening rush hours.
Update: Work is currently centered in the area from Old Cardiff Bridge to Three Mile creek.
