Prefer to connect remotely? Our virtual energy assessment is conducted via a secure video streaming tool. A trained energy evaluator will guide you through identifying how your home uses energy.

- An additional $25 rebate when you install a recommended upgrade within one year
In-home energy assessment
Want a hands-on evaluation? Our in-home assessment includes a walkthrough by an expert energy advisor. They may perform a blower door test to detect air leaks and install air sealing in livable areas of your home.

Eligibility requirements
To qualify, you must:
- Be a Black Hills Energy customer in Iowa
- Have a natural gas water heater and/or heating system
- Live in a home that is at least five years old
- Not have received an energy assessment in the past five years
