On Dec. 27, an incident involving vandalism occurred, causing damage to our natural gas system in Aspen. To safely facilitate necessary repairs, our technicians needed to shut off approximately 3,500 gas meters and test the system.
An investigation into the matter is ongoing by local law enforcement.

We're in the process of replacing an aging natural gas pipeline in western Colorado.
The project is part of a regional plan to ensure our critical infrastructure is ready to meet the needs of growing communities and continuing to deliver the safe, reliable natural gas to our customers.
In addition to upgrading existing pipeline, some infrastructure will also be relocated from within city limits to less densely populated areas. Reclamation and restoration efforts will be implemented once the construction of the pipeline is complete.

Dubuque, Ia.– October 20, 2020 – Black Hills Energy continues work on Loras Boulevard between Montrose Terrace and Bluff Street. Traffic on Loras Boulevard in this area may be impacted between October 21- October 23 for the safety of those working in the area. Construction noises may be heard during this time.

GYPSUM, CO – Sept. 19, 2020 - Black Hills Energy technicians continue to respond to the natural gas incident that occurred on Thursday, September 17 in the Chatfield Corners neighborhood in Gypsum. Technicians are working today to safely restore service to 75 customers.
