With the leadership of Black Hills Energy Ambassador, Mike, the Holdrege team helped the local volunteer fire department with their annual community gathering for National Fire Safety Month.

Over 250 residents braved the first cold spell of the season to join in the hamburger fundraiser, truck rides and other safety demonstrations.

The Black Hills Energy team sweetened the deal by offering a free slice of watermelon to all attendees.
