Colo. - March 13, 2020 — Black Hills Energy is executing its Business Continuity Pandemic Response Plan to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers and employees and to ensure we continue to deliver reliable service to our Southern Colorado communities. Due to increased concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), Black Hills Energy will temporarily close its Pueblo Service Center to the general public, effective Monday, March 16. Because there are many confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Colorado this is a precautionary, proactive measure to protect all community members.

Black Hills Energy’s Business Continuity Plan will fully utilize local, state and national resources to ensure we provide reliable service and coordination occurs across agencies.

For the time being, bill payments can be made online at www.blackhillsenergy.com/pay, by calling 888-890-5554 or via the Drop Box located at the Pueblo Service Center (105 S. Victoria Ave.) where we accept money orders, cashier checks and personal checks.

Cash, credit card, money order, cashier checks and personal checks are accepted at the following payment center locations:

  • Walmart – 4200 Dillon Drive Pueblo, CO 81008
  • Walmart – 78 North McCullock Blvd, PW Pueblo West, CO 81007
  • King Soopers – 102 W 29th St. Pueblo, CO 81008
  • King Soopers – 3050 W. Northern Ave. Pueblo, CO 81005
  • Ace Cash Express – 604 W. 29th St. Pueblo, CO 81008
  • Ace Cash Express – 3058 W. Northern Ave. Pueblo, CO 81005

Customers who have questions or have billing or payment concerns are encouraged to contact Customer Service at 1-888-890-5554 immediately.

For customers or contractors with new construction projects that need a regional permit sign-off please email the site plan and routing sheet or if you have additional questions please call (719) 546-6509.

Black Hills Energy will continue to review updates and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and intend to reopen the Pueblo Service Center when it is determined to be safe for all involved. During this time of uncertainty, we are committed to maintaining the reliable, safe electric service our Southern Colorado customers depend on, and we’ll continue to provide business and service updates as appropriate.
