Kansas | Combating COVID-19 as a Community
face masks

Community members in Witchita, Kansas recognized the great need to come up with solutions for the local shortage of personal protective equipment. What started with a public Facebook page quickly gained traction with first responders, health care professionals, educators, engineers and volunteers banding together for the cause.

The Kansas Black Hills Energy team donated $3,000 to help. As a group, the volunteers are now making 1000 – 1290 face shields and masks a week.
