Community of Blair, Nebraska, honors first responders with cookout
first responder

On a beautiful August day in Blair, Nebraska, Black Hills Energy joined the community in honoring its first responders with a community cookout.

Police, fire and medical personnel from across Washington County were treated to sizable steaks and hearty homemade desserts as dozens of neighbors and volunteers came to say, “Thank you.”

The company donated three zero-gravity chairs to be raffled. As much as attendees enjoyed the food, the chairs seemed to be an even bigger hit!

The event, in its fifth year, is organized by the Blair Optimist International Club.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
