Iowa farm show highlights safety
farm

Iowa’s annual Farm Progress Show is the nation’s largest outdoor farm show, hosting hundreds of agriculture exhibitors and thousands of attendees who come to learn more about new technology, equipment, and farm management practices.

Black Hills Energy was there for the 2022 show in Boone, Iowa. Brad Henningsen, Iowa damage prevention coordinator for Iowa Gas and a board member for Common Ground Iowa, spent a day at the Common Ground Iowa booth, talking with members of the farming community and others about the importance of safe digging and use of Iowa One Call.

Common Ground Iowa promotes better damage prevention through partnership and collaboration. Iowa One Call promotes dialing 811 before digging to “know what’s below.”

Safe digging is always a top priority in the farming community, with many Iowa farms located near major utility infrastructure.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
