South Dakota robotics team says thanks
robotics

Black Hills Energy Ambassadors Kathy and Audrey, along with Manager of Electric Operations Bo, recently attended a sponsor appreciation event for the Rapid Acceleration Robotics Team 4593 in Rapid City, South Dakota.

The club is made up of high school students from Rapid City and Sturgis, South Dakota, along with many mentors from the community, including Black Hills Energy’s planning engineer Grace. The group spent nine months planning, designing, and building their robot, “Merlin,” to compete in multiple events at the FIRST Robotics Championship World Competition in Houston, Texas, last summer.

The group went on to place 58th in their division.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
