Volunteers pack 7,500 meals in Arkansas
team

Our team in Arkansas finished off a recent work week with a “Feed the Funnel” party at the Pack Shack, a non-profit organization in Cave Springs, Arkansas, that packs meals for families in need.

About 30 employees answered the Black Hills Energy Ambassadors’ call for volunteers, packaging 7,500 meals in less than two hours! With music playing, a disco ball spinning and a gong being struck for every 1,000 meals prepared, the afternoon was a fun way for our team members to work together to help their neighbors. The meals packed were donated to local food pantries in Pea Ridge, Arkansas, and Springdale, Arkansas.

We also donated $250 to help cover the cost of the meals. What an awesome way to end the week!

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
