Community members in St. Edward, Nebraska, take pride in their town and go to great lengths to create a place that people want to call home. Recently, that pride brought the community together to create a new community center. A couple of those community members are also members of the Nebraska Black Hills Energy team.
Chris, utility construction planner, and Lindsey, operation support specialist, helped to raise funds and worked through the challenges of floods and a pandemic to bring the community center to fruition.
Today, St. Edward has a beautiful new community center. The Black Hills Corp. Foundation also contributed a grant to help the community complete the landscaping outside of the facility. Not only is this a win for St. Edward, but it is a great example of how passionate our teams are about the communities they serve and call home.
We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
