Better Together in Pueblo, Colorado
Black Hills Energy recently sponsored the 2nd annual community Weatherization Day in the Minnequa Heights-Bessemer neighborhood in Pueblo.
Over 130 volunteers from 10 local organizations joined the Black Hills Weatherization Team.
Together we volunteered 780 hours, weatherized six homes and delivered 425 weatherization kits throughout the neighborhoods.
The kits included LED light bulbs, smoke and co2 detectors, low flow shower heads, outlet and switch insulation and information from our community partners. The day included a Community Block Party with sponsor informational tents, food and pumpkin painting for the kids.
