Black Hills Energy is relocating a natural gas transmission pipeline in the Hyndman neighborhood in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The project will move an existing transmission pipeline away from residential development. No interruptions in natural gas service are planned during construction.

 

Why Black Hills Energy is relocating the pipeline

Black Hills Energy is relocating the pipeline from a residential neighborhood to an open area away from existing development. This work will help maintain a safe and reliable natural gas system while supporting continued growth in the region.

 

Construction updates and what to expect

During construction, Black Hills Energy’s goal is to provide timely and accurate information to customers and nearby residents. As the project begins, please note the following:

  • Black Hills Energy will work with construction crews from Jomax Construction.
  • Avenue B (south of Terry Ranch Road) will be used for equipment and materials delivery.
  • This project is not related to the Tallgrass development currently underway in the area. Tallgrass contractors will use Highway 85 for their construction activities.
  • Crews will make every effort to keep access open to streets and driveways during construction. Construction areas will be restored as quickly as possible once work is complete.
  • No interruptions in natural gas service are planned during the construction phase.
