SD team earns safety award
South Dakota Electric receives safety award

Black Hills Energy’s South Dakota Electric team was recently recognized for their outstanding safety performance by receiving the Governor’s Meritorious Achievement Award from the South Dakota Safety Council (SDSC).

To be eligible for the award, an organization must have a minimum of three years of DART (Days Away Restricted or Transferred) rates that are better than the average for their industry classification and must receive an acceptable rating on a Safety Program Evaluation Scorecard.

The award was presented by South Dakota Lt. Gov. Larry Rhoden and SDSC Executive Director Janie Ritter at the annual South Dakota Safety & Health Conference in December.

Congratulations to everyone involved!
