Black Hills Corp. Foundation donates to Iowa health center
crescent

The Crescent Community Health Center in Dubuque, Iowa, provides care to anyone in need, regardless of insurance status. It’s a critical piece of the healthcare puzzle for the community.

In 2020, the center cared for more than 7,000 patients with 20,942 clinic and telehealth appointments. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it served as a vital resource for testing and vaccinations in Dubuque and the surrounding areas.

Black Hills Energy’s Iowa gas team and the Black Hills Corp. Foundation was proud to support the center with a $20,000 contribution to assist in the 2019 move to an improved renovated space. Recently, the center celebrated 15 years of serving the community which provided the perfect opportunity to have an official ribbon cutting.

Nicole, senior community affairs manager in Iowa, and Laura Roussell, Black Hills Energy retiree and Dubuque City Council member, were able to tour the building together during the ribbon cutting and see the impact our support will have on the Dubuque community for years to come.

In honor of our contribution, the center named a pediatric room after Black Hills Energy.

We partner with our communities and customers, providing the kind of energy that fuels those areas and the lives of those we serve. Feel free to share the stories and photos. Make sure to tag us on FacebookInstagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
